Bicycle Martha's Vineyard

Meeting our fellow trip mates and receiving welcome from our trip leaders in Boston's Logan airport, we'll shuttle the short distance from Boston to beautiful Martha's Vineyard. Here, we'll learn efficient beginner biking techniques and safety procedures, enjoying introductory rides on bike pathways past charming seaports and scenic beaches. 

Surf and Bicycle Cape Cod

We'll experience the pastoral forests, tranquil marshes and sandy beaches of the Cape. Riding along smooth “rail trails” we'll develop love for and proficiency in the sport of cycling. Traveling between scenic towns, we'll take the time to stop off and explore the historic villages of Hyannis, Wellfleet and Truro. Of course, no journey to the Cape would be complete without the chance to enjoy an introductory surfing experience in the warm, Atlantic waters.  

Bicycle Nantucket

Traveling to the picturesque island of Nantucket, we'll bike the gently rolling countryside, taking our leasurly afternoons to explore the island's quant seaports and enjoy the abundant sandy beaches we'll be biking past along the way. In route, we'll stay in one of the world's most beautifully sited youth hostels, perched on the breathtaking shore. 

Whale Watch Tour

The feeding grounds off the tip of Cape Cod are one of the best places to see whales in their natural habitat. Boarding our special whale watching vessel, we'll head out for the chance to see these giant and majestic creatures.  

Explore Boston

Returning to the historic city of Boston, we'll enjoy the morning to stretch our legs while hiking on the Freedom Trail. That afternoon we'll visit the iconographic sites of the city such as Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. That evening, we'll enjoy a culminating end-of-adventure banquet together before crawling into bed and boarding our flights home the next morning.  

 

Important Notes: All bicycles and touring panniers are provided on this introductory trip.  Cycle 10 to 20 miles per day over moistly flat to gently rolling terrain.
