Spend seventeen action-packed days exploring a wide variety of water adventures on two of Hawaii's most beautiful islands. Sea kayak lush costal lagoons of Kauai, then surf its magnificent and famous beaches. Sail a catamaran while snorkeling for three days along Hawaii's Kona coast. Top off your adventure with SCUBA certification while learning the importance of preserving this magnificent tropical ecosystem.
 Surf the Coast of Kauai
Following our short flight from Honolulu, we'll arrive on the "Garden Isle" of Kauai, where we'll learn to ride the waves of the sport's originating home. The breaks on Kauai are ideal for novice surfers and can also challenge even the most seasoned veteran. Under the guidance of professional instructors, we will learn proper paddling and stance techniques. Once we feel comfortable, we'll advance according to our abilities and desires to more challenging and fun breaks over a period of two full days. Explore the Na Pali Coastline
A visit to Kauai would not be complete without experiencing the rugged and breathtaking beauty of the Na Pali coast. A day hike along these steep, emerald cliffs offers unrivaled views of remote beaches, cascading waterfalls and ancient Hawaiian ruins. At trails end, we'll board a Zodiac raft for our return trip, stopping by beaches only accessible by water. Kayak Hanalei Bay
Our two-day kayak adventure will see us paddle beautiful palm-lined Hanalei Bay, which once provided the inspiration for the song "Puff the Magic Dragon," and where several major motion pictures have been filmed. From the bay, native Hawaiians will teach us how to paddle an outrigger canoe up a jungle river to an amazing, turquoise swimming hole beneath a spectacular waterfall. This will be an experience we will never forget. Sail and Snorkel the Kona Coast
Following a short flight from Kauai, we'll arrive on the "Big Island" of Hawaii where we'll board our private catamaran for three days of exploring the Kona coast by sail. Each day, our catamaran will take us to a unique snorkeling site where we'll have opportunities to see amazing, shallow-water coral reefs, a myriad of colorful tropical fish and giant sea turtles. Our evenings will be spent witnessing spectacular sunsets during dinner, and then sleeping on comfortable white sand beaches.
Earn SCUBA certificationAn experience on these tropical isles would not be complete without the opportunity of exploring the underwater world. We'll spend the next four days becoming SCUBA certified through PADI, an internationally recognized diving organization. This four-day course will teach us everything we need to know in order to discover the world of sea turtles, Manta Rays and countless schools of tropical fish. For pre-certified students, diving instruction can be replaced by several more open-water dives for an additional fee. Students who do not wish to dive may snorkel near the group. As we explore the amazing depths of Hawaii, we realize our time here is soon coming to a close. Our final evening we spend dining on Hawaiian cuisine before boarding our flights to Honolulu. Finally we bid farewell to our trip mates as we board our seperate flights home. (All students in our SCUBA diving program must pass a physical and cannot have used an inhaler or suffered from asthma.) For students completing 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th grades, grouped according to age.
