Day 1

Upon your arrival into Salt Lake City, your trip leaders will promptly greet you.  As soon as everyone is gathered, we’ll make our way to our campsite in neighboring ski town, Park City.  As you gaze out at snow-covered mountains, it’s difficult to not instantly get excited for the adventure that lies ahead.  Once we’ve arrived at our campsite, we’ll set up our tents, enjoy our first self-prepared meal, and play games as we get to know each other.

Days 2 - 4

After a snug night in our sleeping bags, we’ll make our way to Moab.  There, we’ll explore this slick rock region that people travel from all over the world to visit.  In the evening we’ll sleep under a blanket of brilliant stars.  The next day, we’ll venture into Arches National Park, where we’ll hike to wonders such as Delicate and Landscape Arch.  We’ll be astounded by these natural formations and the beautiful landscape surrounding them.  Later we’ll begin our journey to Telluride, eagerly anticipating the Colorado adventures that await us!

Days 5 - 7

Nestled in the picturesque San Juan Mountains, this quaint little town will offer us three days of adventuring.  With its soaring peaks, we’ll spend a day hiking its quiet and forested trails.  The remaining two days will be spent rock climbing the granite spires of Telluride.  This fun and safe activity will be a highlight, as we learn and excel at our newfound belaying and climbing techniques under the careful instruction of our leaders and expert local guides.  At the end of each day, we’ll retire to camp for an evening of laughing and a delicious camp dinner.  With full stomachs, we’ll crawl into our sleeping bags under the western, star-filled sky.

Days 8-9

Once back in Moab, we’ll spend an afternoon canyoneering the slick rock canyons and slotted passageways the area has to offer.  Working with experts, we’ll have the thrilling opportunity to explore remote, cool ravines that not even the sun can touch.  As we experience these labyrinths of spectacular, sandstone corridors, the hidden waterfalls and natural waterslides we’ll discover will amaze us.  This fun and safe activity is one we won’t be able to get enough of!

Days 10-14

We’ll spend the next five days rafting through the exciting Cataract Canyon of the Colorado River.  In the hands of professional guides, we’ll learn how to maneuver rapids and work together as team.  As we float through Canyonlands National Park, we’ll be amazed of all the beauty this southwest, desert environment has to offer.   Hitting Class II-IV rapids throughout each day, there will also be plenty of opportunity to swim and splash about in calm waters. All will be great ways to cool off from the hot, afternoon sun.  At the end of each day, we’ll pull ashore and set up camp on sandy beaches, or idyllic bank-side nooks with views of the river and far off canyons.  Before each night’s river feast, there will be opportunities to hike to ancient Indian petroglyphs, scenic ridges and refreshing water holes.  Each night we’ll fall a sleep to the sound of the river.

Days 15-16

After five fabulous days on the river together, we’ll journey back to Park City for our final group banquet.  We’ll share laughs and memories of the last two weeks together before climbing into our tents one final time.  The morning will bring our final farewell in Salt Lake City, where we’ll say goodbye and board our flights home.  As your plane takes off and you stare out at the mountains, you’ll think of all the adventures you had and new friends you’ve made.
