Yellowstone Wonders
Today was our last full day of backpacking before we exchanged our packs for kayaks. The group was extremely excited because it was our last day of hiking in the wilderness and we were all pretty proud of our accomplishments. The day started on an exciting note as a large mule deer came to greet us when we poked our heads out of our cozy tents. This day was destined to be special because we were to experience a massive change in scenery. Yesterday we traveled through dense forests, and today we found ourselves walking across high rocky cliffs and sprawling meadows overlooking majestic Yellowstone Lake. After a quick, but delicious lunch, we all walked as quickly as we could to our campsite - shouts of joy could be heard for miles as we reached our final campsite which marked a transition in our trip! Everyone is looking forward to kayaking!
- JaneCatching Fish...
Today was the last day of Burnt Forest - now the living trees encompass our views. This was our first campsite on Yellowstone Lake. Tommy caught a large fish while William, Pete and David skipped rocks along the placid lake. We all watched the sun set on the lake following another wonderful day.
- ReedIdeas on Leadership
We learn by sharing and recieving feedback.
We learn by paying attention.
We learn by teaching. Learning is living.
Everyone is different, has strengths and weaknesses and collectively we form a team.
Place every step with intention and focus.
Find your own pace, don't hurry at others.
Cherish your successes, but don't forget your mistakes. Learn from both.
As Kahlil Gibran said,
"Let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit...and let your best be for your friend. For what is your friend that you should seek them with hours to kill? Seek them always with hours to live."
