Wilderness Leadership Adventures

About These Adventures
Each of our classic domestic leadership adventures, grouped by age, offers unequalled opportunities for personal growth. Since 1973, our participants have broadened their horizons through their explorations in the finest wilderness and outdoor settings imaginable. We like to call these locations our Last Best Places and we feel fortunate we can offer so many exclusive destinations unavailable to other teenage programs. It is within these remarkable and unique environments that our students discover how to be adaptable, resourceful and creative while engaging in a variety of challenging and fun activities. Since 1973 our leaders have provided a nurturing and non-competitiveenvironment, enabling each individual to grow and establish his or her own “comfort zone” beyond their pre-conceived limits. Through our emphasis on tolerance, encouragement, acceptance, and respect for others, our leaders enable our groups to develop dynamic teams and accomplish profound individual and group goals. As one former student once stated so eloquently, “Who knew that a single period of six weeks would result in universal respect for what lies beyond our individual borders, a lesson in friendship and support and the confidence one would ever need to tackle all the mountains in one’s life.”

Why These Trips are Unique
Our trips offer far less travel and much more time devoted to adventure than any other similar appearing program. Our thirty-three years of acquiring federal permits has enabled us to offer these adventures in thirty-five of the most beautiful environments one could possibly imagine. Our access to so many wonderful locations has enabled us to offer trips of amazing variety without long and monotonous travel.

What You Need to Provide
