Our 1979 catalog featured another of Mike's photos of our students backpacking near Red Pass along the pacific Crest Trail with Glacier Peak in the background.
Our seventh year saw many changes in our program offerings. Besides our two Northwest groups, we offered two four-week Rocky Mountain trips, an eight-week Rocky Mountain trip and a new eight-week trip to Alaska. For the first time, Wilderness Ventures students did not make the cross-country trek from Cincinnati but flew into Denver instead. Round trip airfares were $194 from New York, $124 from Chicago, $141 from Cincinnati and $151 from Atlanta. Americans were starting to fly in big numbers.
Staff training was held this year at Golden Gate State park in Golden, Colorado
